NICO SALES

I am a dynamic and outgoing individual deeply passionate about artistic creation. My background in sociocultural animation significantly influences my work, allowing me to engage with diverse communities and understand their narratives. My artistic approach is characterized by irony and sharpness, with my hands as the common thread in all that I create.

I have a strong passion for brutalism and am increasingly exploring unconventional materials that reinforce the messages behind each piece. Recently, my processes have led me to work with hardware elements and concepts like “dressing a table,” evoking connections and shared experiences such as communal meals. These moments raise important questions that I seek to address through my art: Who do you invite to share a meal? What does it mean to cook for someone? Is it possible to create jewelry for a table that transcends mere objects?

Through this exploration, I've concluded that the spoon bears witness to an act of pure love. How can we give it the prominence it deserves? This contemplation has prompted me to rethink a statement I’ve held for a decade: "The world is full of useful things that are good for nothing." By decontextualizing traditional concepts, I aim to create meaningful artistic experiences that resonate with audiences and promote dialogue.
